I was born in 1986. In my family of five I am the youngest. I have an older sister and brother. I also have a Brother In law and an 18 month old niece. I have a large extended family consisting of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada, Italy and Germany.
In 1990 I went to Dorothy Lynas Elementary School and later graduated from Seycove in 2004. I came to Cascadia in 2005.
My hobbies are listening to music, reading, and drawing. My favorite country songs and singers are Johnny Cash’s: ‘I Walk the Line’, ‘Folsom Prison Blues’, ‘Ring of Fire’, and Stomping Tom’s ‘Bud the Spud’. Another singer that I like a lot is the famous Italian Tenor Luciano Pavarotti and my favorite songs are ‘O Sole Mio’, ‘La Danza’, ‘Brindisi’, ‘Mamma’ and ‘Nessun Dorma’.
Last year, my biggest thrill was travelling to Germany and Italy to visit relatives and to see the many sites that I’ve learned about – the Rhine, the many castles, Venice, Rome, visiting the Vatican, seeing the Pope, Pisa, Florence, Pompeii and Sicily. Out of all the places we visited, the best part of the trip was visiting family.

Congratulations!
Thanks for the update on all I missed while away.
Ruth
Dear Anthony, I don’t know if you remember me, but I am one of the german guys who worked at cascadia 2 years ago, together with linda and sebastian. It is great to get updated by this. What a great thing to do. Almost feels like actually beeing there. I wish you all the best. Toby

Hi Anthony!
It was so nice to see you when you were in Cranbrook! Your blog is wonderful. I can’t wait to show it to my family as well. Hope you have a great summer.
Hi Anthony,
We really appreciated your good humour and funny jokes during the night we went out for supper. Carlo wants to know if you still want that magazine (car) you two talked about – ha…ha.. Take care of yourself and say hello to your Dad, Mom, and siblings. Thinking of you, Rita, Carlo, Joseph and Jessia
We all hope that you are well and that you enjoyed the rest of your summer
Dear Anthony,
I am deeply sorry that your Nonno past away. I know you will miss him so much. Always remember to hold on to the those cherished memories. Know in your heart how blessed you are to belong to a caring and loving family. Today we met again at your Nonno’s Funeral Wake at Astorino’s Hall. Remember me (Mary Giannone) told you our family and your Father’s parents and brothers grew up together from elementary school through to high school? Our Son Carlo was also born in 1986. I told you he is a Tattoo Artist. I believe you said I have had enough needles in my time and were not thinking of getting any tattoo’s soon, ha ha. Anthony, I really enjoyed chatting with you today and visiting with all your families. Congratulations Uncle Anthony! I read your blog and met your newborn nephew today. How exciting to learn your Nonno met his great grandson before he passed away. I read your incredible writing of blogs! Your Father told me so!! Keep up the great writing, you truly have a natural gift with a great sense of humour! Anthony, my Father passed away last year on May 27th. Today is the 27th!
I have this beautiful poem “Beloved” written on a scroll picture frame. At the bottom there are white clouds above the roaring ocean with two seagulls flying high as if to entail a circle of protection of your loved one. This poem sits beside a photograph of my Father. I want to share this poem with you. “Beloved” Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade, because one loved is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there’s a memory, they live on in our heart. We extend our sincere condolences to you and all of the Scorda’s and families from the Giannone Family.
Your Friends Mary (Giannone), Eric & Carlo D’Onofrio
